“SOSHA” Exists to settle the social issue in the community

DILI, July 26, 2021 (TATOLI)- To provide humanitarian assistance to settle the social issue in Timor-Leste, 40 Timorese youth has established a group “Sosiedade Haksolok Association (SOSHA) to create a mission for investing in education for children and create solidarity action.

The SOSHA president, Francisco Mascarenhas said The association is established by 40 Timorese with a motto “Everyone’s joy is our joy”, this motto aims to bring happiness for all people.

The foundation of this association is to provide humanitarian service through solidarity action under the restriction of covid-19 and emergency disasters.

The association will provide food for affected students and vulnerable families on pandemic and calamity crucial situation period.

Mr. Mascarinhas added that the association is planning to build a kinder garden to contribute to the investment of the education sector for the new generation in Timor-Lest since education is a determining factor for country development.

“The SOSHA comes with a goal investing children, at the beginning of children education. The organization also has a plan to address social injustice issues. This is part of association vision such as creating a solidary action,” Mascarenhas toldTATOLI Agency on Sunday, in Cathedral Dili.

He added that the association stands with a commitment to invest in the education sector and therefore it is also a part of contributing to globalization and technology period and as the impact future of Timor-Leste.

Mr. Mascarinhas said that solidarity action that provided by SOSHA can also help people who live in social and injustice class.

The official assured that SOSHA will be listed as an association in the notary service to fulfill the legality requirements.

likewise The SOSHA active member, Isabel Mónica da Silva said, as a member and as the secretary of SOSHA, she is proud to be part of SOSHA to help others who are in need.

“I am pleased to be part of the volunteer service. I want to continue working in this association to help others. I appeal to all young people to participate in any activity to take a step forward in life”, she said

The association was officially launched on Saturday, its existence is constituted with the structure of president, Francisco Mascarenhas, secretary, and organizing president, Isabel Mónica da Silva includes three advisers and 40 volunteer members from all municipalities. The SOSHA has two main offices in Dili, in Mandarin and Ailok Laran.
