DILI, 09 september 2021 (TATOLI)-The Head of Timor-Leste Electricity State-Owned Enterprise (EDTL-EP) Paulo da Silva said he had submitted a proposal to the Council Infrastructure Administration Fund (KAFI) to request US$ 7 million to repair 16 electricity poles which have been destroyed during the floods.
“EDTL-EP has proposed US$ 7 million funds in the 2022 state budget to reconstruct 16 electricity poles that have been destroyed by the flood, ” said Silva to reporters at the Ministry of Finance’s office in Aitarak-Laran today.
He explained that the 16 electricity poles that had been destroyed since April 04 had not been repaired since the 2021 budget was not enough to repair all the poles.
“We will repair 16 poles by using the 2022 budget, therefore we hope our proposal will be considered by KAFI,” He said.
