TELKOMCEL offers an ambulance to the Ministry of Health

DILI, 13 september 2021 (TATOLI)—Telecommunications operator Telkomcel today offered an ambulance to the Ministry of Health (MS).

“The vehicle was delivered, as part of the celebration of Telkomcel’s ninth anniversary in the country, by the TelkomcelCare program: a company’s social responsibility program”, says the operator’s statement released today.

It is also said that the ambulance is of quality and meets international requirements, being able to help the MoH in the work of dealing with COVID-19 disease in Timor-Leste.

“Telkomcel is one of the partners of the Timorese Government and is committed to supporting the MoH in providing the care to the patients with covid-19”, he said.

The Minister of Health, Odete Belo, also said that the new vehicle will help the ministry in containing the virus in the country, especially to help transport the patients.

“The vehicle will be very useful because it is directed to the Hospital Nacional Guido Valadares. I thank Telkomcel for the help”, thanked the minister today, in Caicoli.

It should be recalled that the Director of the National Ambulance and Emergency Medical Service, Horácio Sarmento da Costa, said that 12 ambulances have already been distributed across the 11 municipalities including RAEOA to provide health services during the covid-19 period.

The official also mentioned that three ambulances were allocated to the Municipality of Dili, two of which are in Tasi-Tolu and one in Vera Cruz. An ambulance from the Guido Valadares National Hospital is now operating at the Lahane Isolation Center.
