DILI,13 september 2021 (TATOLI) – The United States announced another additional $1 million in assistance to help Timor-Leste fight COVID-19 and strengthen health security.
“The Donation of US$ 1 millions is to help MoH to enhances the vaccination program also to combat hoax and fake news in Timor -Leste,” The U.S. Embassy Chargé dAffaires Tom Daley said at the MoH ‘ s office Kai- Koki, Dili today.
The new funding will be used to build health facilities to better enable the Government of Timor-Leste to save lives. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the United States has been working side-by-side with Timor-Leste to fight COVID-19, including by providing $5 million in critical assistance.
