DILI, 16 september 2021 (TATOLI) – The Acting President of the Authority of Dili Municipality, Antonio Moniz Clau proposed an additional budget of US$ 13.5 million in the 2022 state budget.
“The actual budget of the US$ 7.279.981 of 2022 General State Budget (OJE) for Dili municipality was not enough to cover all the planned programs and therefore, we proposed an additional budget of US$ 13 million to the Budget Review Committee,” Clau told TATOLI at his office, in Dili, on thursday.
Clau said the proposed additional budget to be prioritized specifically on the execution of the planned programs, including national security, access to justice, good governance and institutional management, agriculture, health, roads and bridges, education and training, tourism,gender equality and nclusion.
“One of our main programs to be implemented in 2022 is Labor Program for Administrative Posts (PMOPA), which will create more than 7.000 job opportunities for communities in Dili municipality. It’s a good program to help the economy of the communities during the Covid-19,” said Clau.
In addition, he said that: “The proposed additional budget would cover as well salary and wages, totaling US$ 464.984, goods and services US$ 4.043.364, minor capital US$ 500.000, capital development US$ 6.673.000, and public transfers US$ 2.831.905.”
