DILI, 22 september 2021 ( TATOLI)– The President of the National Parlament (PPN) Aniceto Longinhos Guterres with the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Timor – Leste Sahat Sitorus discussed the future cooperation of both countries.
“We met to discuss the future cooperation between both Indonesia and Timorese Parliaments,” Indonesia’s Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Sahat Sitorus informed the media at the National Parliament today.
Sitorus said this meeting is very prestigious, saying his part can have a direct meeting with the President of the National Parliament of Timor – Leste
“I take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the initiative of the President of the National Parliament of Timor Leste who met with the President of the Indonesian National Parliament Puan Maharani in Austria Viana on 07 September,”
At the same place, Ambassador Sitorus confirmed that the bilateral and multilateral Cooperation in the legislative area between Timor- Leste, and Indonesia will continue.
Sitorus said his Mission as the Ambassador of Indonesia in Timor-Leste Will ends in early October, saying, therefore, his meeting with the PPN is also considered as a farewell meeting.
“Today is the last meeting with the President of National Parliament because my Mission as the Ambassador of Indonesia to Timor- Leste will end this October, i will not forget the Timorese people, I love Timor -Leste and all the people of East Timor, I hope that the new Ambassador will continue this mission and strengthen the strong cooperation with TL in the future,”
