Dili, 11 october, 2021 (TATOLI)- Plan International in Timor-Leste (PITL) has been assisting 20.500 children in the three municipalities, Aileu, Maubessi, and Ainaro.
The Plan International Timor-Leste (PITL) country director, Diliana Ximenes said The supports comprising of various support food items composed of rice, salt, sugar, and cooking oil and non-food items: disinfectant, face masks, and hygiene items, and other materials for the daily uses.
Ximenes said that during the pandemic, the PITL has also supported the Government providing the information regarding COVID-19 and the vaccination against the covid-19 disease.
“The PITL also conducts the socialization and vaccination campaign aimed of sharing the right information to children and parents regarding COVID-19 and the prevention of COVID-19 at the same time encourage people to receive the vaccine,” Ximenes told Tatoli at her office, today.
Ximenes added that currently, PITL is implementing the program of girl leaderships empowerment, saying this program aims to promote and develop the capacity of girls to become leaderships and the program has been implementing in Dili and Municipalities.
