DILI, 14 october 2021 (TATOLI)– The President of Council Executive of the National Institute of Science and Technology( INCT), José Cornelio Guterres said, Portugal, Canada, and Nederland will support Timor-Leste (TL) to conduct a feasibility study before creating the digital repository in Timor-Leste.
“We had done the launching of the feasibility study to create the digital repository in our nation, We will conduct a technical meeting on october,18 to continue the feasibility study,” President of INCT Jose Cornelio told the Agency of TATOLI in his office Matadouro on thursday.
Cornelio informed the feasibility study will be conducted by the four experts, Paula Morais from Portugal, Von Decher from Nederland, Amithaba from Canada, and Dionisio Babo from Timor – Leste.
The feasibility study will focus on the informatics area, therefore, it needs to meet the telecommunication operator in Timor-Leste including the Information Agency of Technology and Communication (TIC) of Timor – Leste to inform the creation of a digital repository base on the feasibility study.
The Director-General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Culture (MHESC), Maria Filomena Lay considers that the creation of a digital repository is very crucial for the youth investigator and also for the academic scientific to maintain the use of information to do the important consultation in Timor Leste.
“We all know that Timor – Leste is one of the new nations and we wish to adjust the technology system since the creation of digital repository to help the user do their work,” She said.
