DILI, 29 november 2021 ( TATOLI) – The Executive Secretary of the National Commission for the prevention of HIV/AIDS in Timor-Leste, Atanasio de Jesus informed that this year Timor-Leste will celebrate the World HIV/AIDS day in Waikea Village, Administrative post of Fatu Berliu, Manufahi Municipality.
Atanasio de Jesus said the preparation for the event has been made by the NCPHA to welcome the commemoration that will be held on november 1, 2021.
“We have made preparations and the coordination with the Local Authority in Manufahi municipality to welcome the World HIV/AIDS Day, the celebration aims to remember the souls of the victims of HIV/Aids who have died and also with this opportunity to socialize the consequences of this dangerous disease of HIV/ AIDS to the population of Manufahi municipality generally,” Atanasio de Jesus informed TATOLI Agency in his office Luro Mata, Dili today.
Jesus added that the CNCS-TL has authorized the President Authority of Manufahi as the chairman of the committee for this event and all preparations for activities have been don: “We hope that the celebration of World HIV/AIDS Day will successful in Manufahi municipality”
According to Jesus, the event will be attended by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Ministry of Health (MoH), Member of National Parliament, Member of Government, Diplomats in Timor-Leste, and the community in Manufahi.
