DILI, 01 december 2021 (TATOLI)— The World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) is committed to assisting Timor-Leste’s Tradeinvest to become a member of the WAIPA Organization.
The WAIPA express its support to Timor-Leste during an hour meeting between Executive Director of Trade invest Timor-Leste, Arcanjo da Silva with the Chairperson of WAIPA Ismael Ersahin that took place in Geneva, on november 29, 2021.
The meeting was too deeply discussed the involvement of Timor-Leste’s trade investment in WAIPA at the same time both parts dealt to increase and develop the Route Map stage of Timor-Leste’s trade investment to be a member of WAIPA.
“WAIPA is committed to helping Tradeinvest to participate in the international events. WAIPA is also will provide training for Trade and investment,” The WAIPA Director, Ismael Ersahin said in a statement.
“To be one of WAIPA members, a country is required to fulfill the requirement, however, the requirement will be based on the state’s law, ex. it must be based on Timor-Leste laws and will not hamper the process to become a member of Tradeinvest in WAIPA,” added.
It should be remembered that the Timor-Leste Trade Invest agency was established in 1995 at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. While WAIPA organization is awarded appreciation as the service and commerce for national and international companies and is currently under the supervision of MAKE.
