DILI, 12 december 2021 (TATOLI) – In the past 24 hours, Timor-Leste recorded no new COVID-19 cases, no recovery, and four active cases, said Rui Maria de Araujo, the Coordinator of the Integrated Crisis Management Center (SIJK).
There are no people with COVID-19 in the hospital.
In the past 24 hours, the National Health Laboratory (LNS) has performed 269 PCR tests, including 23 through random screening, 176 for the international travel authorization and 10 in quarantine.
The SIJK kept calling on communities to practice the health and safety guidelines recommended by the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the WHO to continue combating the spread of the virus.
Since Timor-Leste’s outbreak began in April 2020, the country has recorded 19.829 cases, 19.703 recoveries, and 122 deaths.
In Timor-Leste, of the 754.864 adult groups, 82.2 percent had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, of which 63.3 percent have been fully vaccinated.
Covid-19 vaccination: Municipality Tracker
At least four municipalities have now fully vaccinated more than 60 percent of their adult residents. Four of these municipalities included Dili (78.3%), Viqueque (77.3%), Covalima (74.3%) and RAEAO (69.8%). However, the vaccination rate is low in Ermera and Bobonaro with 44.1% and 46.4% respectively.
So far, Timor-Leste had received a total of 1.213.279 doses of Covid-19 vaccines, consisting of 1.012.650 doses of AstraZeneca, 100.000 doses of SINOVAC (China), and 100.620 doses of Pfizer vaccines (USA).
Of the 1.012.650 AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines, 100.800 doses were given by COVAX Facility, 24.00 doses from New Zealand, 577.850 does were donated by the government of Australia, 142.000 doses from Portugal, and 168.000 doses were given by the Japanese government.
