DILI, 27 january 2022 (TATOLI)- The Embassy of the United States (U.S.) through the – U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Tom Daley informed, the engineering from the U.S Navy Seabees from the U.S. has arrived in Timor Leste to rehabilitate two school buildings in Maubara, Liquiça in the short time.
“Engineering from the U.S. Navy Seabees have arrived in Timor – Leste, they will rehabilitate two school building in Maubara, Likisa in the short time,” Tom Daley told reporters at Klabis Forum in the Embassy of the U.S. in Praia dos Coqueiros, Dili, on wednesday.
Daley explained that this project program is a continuation of the rehabilitation of the school building and the Health Center which has been running since 2009 until now.
“U.S. has committed to support all Government’s programs including school infrastructure and Health infrastructure in advancing Timor – Leste, because the U.S. has established bilateral cooperation relations since Timor-Leste got its independence,” Daley said.
Daley added that the rehabilitation of the two-school building in Maubara will use $288,000. The building will be renovated in a short time for more than three months.
All funds channeled by the U.S. to Timor – Leste are free without any interest, the U.S. wishes Timor – Leste to develop the democracy and human rights to respect the values of democracy in Timor – Leste in advancing the population of Timor – Leste in the future.
