DILI, 28 december 2021 (TATOLI)– The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Timor – Leste, Okto Dorinus Manik met with the Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Fidelis Manuel Leite Magalhaes to discuss bilateral cooperation.
“We discussed the bilateral cooperation that has been carried out by the two countries and we hope that this bilateral cooperation can be maintained in the future,” said Manik to Tatoli at the Government Palace, Dili.
Ambassador Manik explained that Indonesia is a trusted partner who shares the same culture and history and has a close relationship with the people because Timor – Leste, and Indonesia are neighboring countries.
“In the meeting, we discussed the issue of Covid-19, the economy and sustainable development of Timor-Leste, border security, agriculture, especially coconut revitalization in Vikeke City, education, and others that the two countries have done so far. , said Manik.
Meanwhile, Manik said Indonesia would continue to provide technical assistance to Timor-Leste in various sectors to help the country achieve sustainable economic growth and hoped that the COVID-19 pandemic would end soon because it had hampered the global economy.
“We hope that Covid-19 will end soon so that our wishes can be achieved because the Covid-19 pandemic has hampered the world economy, including Timor Leste,” said Manik.
