DILI, 1 march, 2022 (TATOLI)-Theg7+ countries member is praised Prime Minister of Timor-Leste Taur Matan Ruak for the commitment supporting the treaty charter document process to be registered at the United Nation, in New York.
The General-Secretary of g7+, Helder da Costa said the members of g7+ give great appreciation to the Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak. The government of Timor-Leste on commitment supported g7+ register “treaty charter” document at the United Nations, in New York.
“Today we are visiting the Prime Minister and officially informing the Timor-Leste government that g7+ has registered as an intergovernmental organization of 20 countries. g7+ also praised Timor-Leste contribution with a commitment for the document process,” The General-Secretary of g7+, Helder da Costa told reports at Faról, this monday.
He added that the agreement will be made between the Timor-Leste government and g7+. The Prime Minister is agreeing and compromising to participate in the g7+ program for discussion in the National Parliament. g7+ is promoting the Timor-Leste country to the world.
Thus, the discussion also focuses on whether the National Parliament has approved a resolution and dealt with the establishment of g7+ link on legislation level at parliament. It aims to share the experience of peace with other courtiers.
“The last subject of discussion is submitting a personal Eminent of g7+ Xanana’s letter to the Prime Minister. The letter is also sent to all leaders across the world. It is focused on countries that encounter conflict,” He explain
Currently, g7+ is introducing the structure composed of emanates member as Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, General-Secretary, Helder Da Costa, President, Francis Kakal from Sierallione, vice president, Nahed Sarabi from Afghanistan and the special invited person is the former president of Timor-Leste José Ramos Horta.
It is expecting the approval of the President of the Republic of Timor-Leste, although the process has been concluded. The other g7+ members finalized the ratification process.
It is known that since 2014, the g7+ has introduced the process of treaty charter to the United Nations. It is required to be fulfilled and the United Nations can be officially approved g7+ and legally become an intergovernmental organization to conduct the observation to the world.
G7+ was established in 2010, there are 20 country members composed of Timor-Leste, Afghanistan, Haiti, Papua New Guinea, Republic of Congo, São Tome, Somalia and others.
