DILI, 04 march 2022 (TATOLI)- Dubai Expo Authority required the government’s ministry lines to ensure all foreign investors registered on the “Wish list can become Real list”.
Dubai Expo Authority, Manuel Vong said many foreign investors from different companies have registered their company names on “Wish List ”. It means the foreign company is interested in investing in various sectors in Timor-Leste.
“It is a big recommendation for the government to more closely approach and negotiate to ensure the investor should come to Timor-Leste. It is required that the government must bring a “wish list” to become a “real list”. Dubai Expo Authority, Manuel Vong told TATOLI Agency, at Praia dos Coqueiros, this friday.
He added that the real list means that the company list has already signed the agreement with the government. As expected for the document legacy process and deal on the investment process.
There are 43 foreign investors to bring investment to invent in Timor-Leste, and they have given business cards.
The investment will be focused on potential areas such as Tourism sectors, Agriculture, Natural resources, Petroleum, Transportation, and logistics.
The companies wish to have an investment composed of Oryx World Group, United Arab Emirates, Kenaf Ventura Global (KVG), Malaysia, Smart Gulf Solar, Liaison Master Global, and others.
On classification refers to direct investment. The companies have provided 775 million USD for the investment infrastructure. However, Timor-Leste’s Government requires a total amount of 295 million USD to ensure infrastructure conditions.
The Authority of Dubai Expo was facilitating some ministries for bilateral meetings and business forums. The friendly cocktail meeting was conducted with the main proposals approaching foreign investors.
The result shows that the Minister of Transportation has signed an agreement letter with United Emirate Arab on Air Service Agreement (ASA) on 19 october 2021.
Mr. Vong said more visitors are visiting the Timorese pavilion than 21.195 people in january 2022. 170.000 people do not know about Timor-Leste country.
