DILI, 06 april 2022 (TATOLI) –In early 2022, starting from january, february and march, DNTT had collected, $550,292.00 to cash State through the motor vehicle tax collection, The Director of National Department of Land Transportation (DNTT), António da Costa revealed.
“DNTT has collected $550,292.00 to the state treasury through motor vehicle tax collection during the first quarter, starting from january, february and march,” said the Director of DNTT when interviewed by the journalist of TATOLI News Agency in DNTT’s office Balide Dili this wednesday.
Director of DNTT, António da Costa, explained that $550,292.00 was obtained from motor vehicle registration through importers, special plates, taxes from public transportation, payment of driver’s licenses and inspection payments.
He added that through the payment of motor vehicle taxes, it can strengthen state finances to be used in developing Timor – Leste, therefore DNTT urges the motor cycle and vehicle ‘s owners to pay taxes.
“State income is obtained from various sectors including DNTT, compulsory motor vehicle tax will help the government to build the development process in all sectors and will prosper the country and people in the future,” he said.
Through the payment of motor vehicle documents, DNTT will use tax payments to build better infrastructure and facilities for DNTT to continue, serve the public in the future in Timor-Leste.
