DILI, 06 april 2022 (TATOLI)- Kreativu Furak shops is considering the rarity of cooking oil in the market affecting slightly increasing prices.
The assistant manager of Kreativu Furak Supplier, Yati Zaka said currently globally affected by the crises between Russia and Ukraine which impact the rarity of some basic needs in the global market. It is directly affected by the price in the international and even in the national market increasing.
“Cooking oil is one of the products not only increasing in price. However, the products are limited for the consumers,” The assistant manager of Kreativu Furak Supplier, Yati Zaka told TATOLI Agency at his office in Bidau Akadiru-hun, this wednesday.

She added that currently the availability of cooking oil in the shop consists of 4,5 liters and 700 boxes, 1,7 liters 300 boxes and 6,20 mm are 400 boxes.
The normal price costs $28 however after the price increase in the global market.
Kreativu Furak shop decided to add up the price to $33 USD for 5 liters of cooking oil, for 1,7 liters is up to $.20.50 and 6,20 mm $.29.
Ms. Zaka explained that during a normal situation the quantity of cooking oil for importing is depending on marketing demands. There is no certain quantity of products. Mostly, Kreativu Furak supplied 20.40 boxes for three months.
Kreative Furak shop mostly imports cooking oil products from Indonesia. Due to Indonesia’s limitation of the importing of cooking oil to Timor-Leste, the ideas will link with other countries.
Thus, there are enough products in the warehouse and the prices are still stable.
The other basic needs price is slightly increasing which is composed of eggs, canned fish, milk, sugar, and others.
Ms. Zaka is calling on the government of Timor-Leste to evaluate the bureaucracy process, especially maintaining the import tax and ensuring the costumes operation system. The customs avoid delaying in the costume process, as it can ensure the basic needs prices do not add up.
