DILI, 13 march 2022 (TATOLI)- The 50 hectares of land has been identified to use for part industrial investment and there would be implementing in Ulmera and Watubou villages, Liquiça municipality, said the Vice-minister of MTCI, Domingos Lopes Antunes.
“The main purpose of this project is to attract the national and international investors to make the investment,” the Executive told TATOLI Agency at his office, Fomento, this tuesday.
The official explained that the park industrial project will provide job opportunities for Timorese people and will even contribute the tax revenue for the government to increasing the local business in productive areas.
It is required to provide a draft law to present to the Council of Ministers and will be approved in the National Parliament.
The project viability study has cost 225,373 thousand USD. The project estimates a gross fee in the amount of 1.7 million for indemnification for 40 households.
The parking industry will be managed by Partnership Public Private (PPP) and a proper management entity.
HABERAN is a local company responsible for a viability project on the park industrial and will be concluded in three months.
It is known that the Tibar Port distance is approximately about 5 Km for Ulmera and Vatuvow 25 Km in Maubara.
It is required for coordination between the line ministerial and technical team from Land Property and Public work has identified that 40 households will be directly affected for the park industrial.
After the data collection, MTCI will submit it to the Minister of Justice to announce the land prices based on regulation.
According to the prime minister’s orientation to establish an inter-ministerial team on coordination on project implementation composed of MTCI, Minister of planning and territory, Ministry of Administration, and Coordinating Minister of Economy Affairs.
It provides favorable and accessible business areas to the private sector. It can support the speed up of local industrialization.
The project industry will attract about 50 or 100 national and international companies.
It will also provide job opportunities and will employ 4.000 Timorese workers.
They will work on basic infrastructure construction projects composed of roads, drainage, wall, water, electricity, and telecommunication.
The park industrial project will be provided a total of 25 million USD. The project will be constructed for three years and will be operating from 2025 to 2027.
