“Our ambassadors have a very important role in influencing foreign investors to open a company in Timor – Leste. this strategy will offer our youth job opportunities to work in their companies,” Mariano Assanami told reporters at the National Parliament, Dili, this Wednesday.

He urged the Ambassadors who carry out the diplomatic missions abroad, to promote Timor-Leste’s natural resources to foreign investors to be able to invest in Timor-Leste.

“Our ambassadors must be experts beyond representing Timor-Leste abroad, they must also promote the potential of our country, such as tourism, oil, and other natural resources to foreign investors who are interested in investing in Timor-Leste, to create more job opportunities,” Assanami said.

Assanami also stressed that another thing that will make things more possible and easier is the unity of the country’s historical leaders.
