DILI, 15 may, 2022 (TATOLI) – French Cooperation in Timor-Leste (FCTL) provides funds worth €21,000 for biodiversity conservation projects in Ermera and Manatuto.
The Executive Director of Permatil, Ego Lemos said this organization received financial support to develop a Biodiversity conservation project From the FCTL on may 13, 2022.
“The financial support amounting to €21,000 is used to reinforce the biodiversity conservation project and provide training for the youth about conserving the biodiversity in the municipalities of Ermera and Manatuto,” Ego Lemos told Tatoli today.
“The youth training will take place between June and August this year and continues with the implementation of the water conservation activity and the fund to develop and conserve the natural resources in municipalities,” Lemos said.

Last year the French cooperation made an evaluation that focus on all the cooperation services in the biodiversity areas saying, the organization received positive feedback from the evaluation.
“Based on the evaluation, French is committed to continue support Timor-Leste to develop its biodiversity,”
It is recalled that the French Cooperation began supporting Permatil in 2020 for the biodiversity conservation program.
