DILI, 18 may 2022 (TATOLI)- The National Parliament of Timor-Leste approved a vote of hail for the 20th anniversary of Timor-Leste’s restoration of Independence.
“The National Parliament approved a vote of hail for the Timor_Leste’s restoration of Independence with 58 votes in favor, zero against and zero abstention,” The Deputy President of the National Parliament Angelina Sarmento announced in the plenary session.
The President of the National Resistance Congress Party (CNRT), Duarte Nunes, congratulated all the country’s residents on the commemoration of the twentieth anniversary of the restoration of the country’s independence.
“The may 20th is the Timor-Leste 20th anniversary of Independence and the commemoration of the historic day for Timor-Leste, as an independent and sovereign country, that internationally recognized, ” Duarte Nunes said in a statement released by the TL-PN.
“In celebration of this historic milestone, it is important to honor the leaders who struggled for freedom, those who fight for the independence.”
