DILI, 01 august 2022 (TATOLI)— The Agency for Investment and Export Promotion, I.P (TradeInvest Timor-Leste) has organized a visit to Darwin Australia during three days with the purpose to re-establish technical cooperation and agreements with the Australian Northern Territory Government. The visit took date on july 25-july 29, 2022.
Timor-Leste delegation to Australia led by the Executive Director, Arcanjo da Silva, Assisted by the Director of Export Promotion, Decio Ribeiro; Director of External Relations and Marketing, Roberto Lai; Human Resources Manager, Salvador Castro, and Office Secretary to the Executive Director, Flora da Costa.
“The main objective of the visit is to rebuild a technical agreement between TradeInvest and the Australian Northern Territory (NT) Government which aims to provide technical assistance in the areas of investment and export promotion and capacity building,” said Executive Director, Arcanjo da Silva in a statement released by the office of TITL.
The statement said that, the three days visits, The delegation from Timor-Leste, had held the meeting with Australian Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade, NT Farmers Association, NT Seafood Council and its members regarding the investestment and export mechanisms including opportunities for the investments.
The Northern Territory Chamber of Commerce also reports that the trade mission is in line with TradeInvest’s strategy. The strategy is to ensure the promotion and facilitate investment and export and to promote. It is to facilitate the export of goods and services.
Opportunities for the NT to strengthen the strong relationship that exists between the two countries will provide collaborative action to enhance two-way trade opportunities and be in line with the strategic framework for bilateral cooperation.
