DILI, august 2, 2022 (TATOLI)- Telemor Communications company introduces to the Prime Minister, Taur matan Ruak, it’s ten years of investment in Timor-Leste and its Information Communication Technology (ICT) strategic plan on 5G.
“Today’s meeting with Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak is to report about 10 years of investment in Timor-Leste as well as ITC’s 5G strategic plan that will be implemented in the near future,” Telemor general director of Viettel, Tran Van Bang told the media after meeting with the PM, Taur in Farol Dili.
Telemor Company has a strategic plan to adapt to submarine cables in advancing Technology that is aligned with government programs.
“We are aware of many complaints about the low speed of internet connection, therefore the plan is to provide 5G Internet to support government programs consisting of online schools, advance ICT, and invest in 5G and the submarine cable investment is a good government program to ensure TELEMOR can advance high-speed internet with 5G,” said Tran Van Bang
Currently, TELEMOR has provided 4G and this will be a great opportunity to advance to 5G which requires subsea cables.
Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak congratulated TELEMOR on its achievement as an international communications company and appreciated the investment and assistance the company has made in Timor-Leste over the past 10 years.
In line with the 10th anniversary of Telemor, PM also requested them to build more investment in Timor-Leste and become an important partner to empower the country’s economic development by providing good internet services to Timorese people to run their business and contribute to the economic growth and economic development of the country.
So far with the support of the Government of Timor-Leste, Telemor has reached 95% of Timor-Leste’s population.
Telemor is a Vietnamese ITC company, the company established its telecommunication business in Dili after receiving a business license from the government on 22 August 2012.
