Xanana coordinates with ATRTL organizing music competitions for people from different religions

DILI, 09 august 2022 (TATOLI)— National leader, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão coordinate with the Timor-Leste Religious Tourism Association (ATRTL) to organize a music competition for youth from various religions to promote and consolidate the diversity of human fraternity.

ATRTL Event Organizer Representative, Glenda Correia said the music competition was initiated by Xanana Gusmão and ATRTL to promote the skills of young Timorese in music and also to consolidate diversity and human fraternity adding that the event aims to strengthen the unity of mankind, brotherhood in the diversity of different cultures and religions, and other initiatives are to promote the skills of the Timorese and also celebrate the 74th birthday of the Charismatic Leader, Xanana Gusmão.

“We organized this music competition to strengthen the unity of humanity, brotherhood in diversity, other initiatives to promote the skills of young Timorese and also the 74th birthday of the Charismatic Leader, Xanana Gusmão,” said Glenda Correia in Bebora, Dili, this Monday.

She added that this opportunity is offered to people from different religions, cultures, and races but is united in brotherhood. This is related to the consolidation of human fraternity.

At the same place Charismatic Leader, Xanana Gusmão said Timor-Leste is a fortunate country and has always lived with a diversity of people who come from different religions, cultures, and races.

“This event is a positive point that must continue to promote and consolidate human brotherhood. “We are different in other aspects but we are together to be one in our beliefs. “Today’s positive point is that the country of Timor-Leste lives in a situation of harmony, peace, love, and stability. So, we must be proud, because until now Timor-Leste has never experienced a religious conflict,” he said.

So far the competition was participated by 24 music groups composed of 761 young people, from five religions; Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, Hindu, and Confucian.

This music competition is divided into two categories, including solo, and choral groups.
