Royal Bhutan Airlines begins regular operations Dili-Singapore


DILI, september 18, 2022 (TATOLI) – Drukair-Royal Bhutan Airlines from Singapore begin regular operation Dili-Singapore after the suspension of the flight operation in March 2020 due to the global covid-19 crisis.

As the flight operation begin, Drukair flight A319 landed at Nicolau Lobato International Airport, Dili on september 18, 2022, at exactly 7:48 am TL hours.

The Executive Director of Drukair air, Tandi Wangchuk, said the flight will do the operation once a month until november, while in December there will be two flights to do the operation.

Tandi added that many challenges facing the company since the world was hit by the pandemic, but it was not stopping the company from improving its quality of service, therefore Wangchuk continue to encourage the customers to visit the official page ‘Air Timor ‘ to find out the price for the tickets.

Meanwhile, The Executive Director of Air Timor, Ravi K, thanked Drukair for their cooperation and trust in the air services.

“Currently we resume the regular flights, but we wish to increase air operations to promote tourism and economic growth in the country,” he said.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Civil Aviation Authority of Timor-Leste (AACTL), Eusébio Freitas, in turn, asked the Drukair-Royal Bhutan Airlines to ensure the safety of the passengers.

In 2019, AACTL awarded a license to Air Timor to complete its partnership with Drukair, to begin the air connections with Singapore.

Following this agreement, an assessment was accomplished based on several procedures, including updated documentation, flight records, crew, maintenance, and insurance.
