DILI, 27 september 2022 (TATOLI) – The National Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Agency (ANAPMA) held a national colloquium with the theme “Presentation of an Integrated Medium-Term Planning Framework” to integrate all Government strategic plan documents.
The goal of this colloquium is to integrate the various development plans that have been prepared and have been followed while promoting a greater rationalization and diversification of investment decisions aiming for sustainable development and progress.
The Prime Minister, Taur Matan Ruak, highlighted the importance of a framework for integrated planning and modular development to draw up a grand plan with an animal budget and resources.
“These four intend to draw up a grand plan with minimal budget and resources”, said PM Taur, in Aitarak-Laran, Dili.
ANAPMA Coordinator, Brígida Soares, reminded that the Government is currently implementing the National Development Strategic Plans, City and Territorial Plans, as well as adopting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“Our annual plan is implemented, but all strategic documents are made with long-term goals, however in the implementation of the plan we acknowledge there is no integration with the strategic plan document”, Soares said.
Soares said that international development partners, the private sector, ministries, and Municipal authorities needed to suggest ideas to improve the implementation of the Integrated Mid-Term Planning.
She added that after consultation with all relevant entities, the agency will present the results to the Council of Ministers.
Charge d’Affaires of the Australian Embassy in Suzy Wilson-Uilelea also highlighted the need to implement Integrated Medium Term Planning to support Government actions to increase resource investment with results saying: “We hope that the implementation of the integrated plan can contribute to the effective and efficient use of funds and economic development”.
Present at the colloquium were the Chief Executive, Taur Matan Ruak, international development partners, ministerial leaders, and several municipal authorities.
