DILI, 24 october 2022 (TATOLI)- President of Republic José Ramos Horta awarded three honorary doctorate Degrees from Three universities in Cambodia.
The three universities are BELTEI International University, Camboja University, and Paragon International University.
The statement seen by Tatoli from the office of the President stated that these titles were awarded to Horta for his contribution to the promotion of peace, conflict management, and leadership, saying this is a recognition to the country and the world.
“Three universities are awarded honorable certification to me due to my contribution to promoting Peace, conflict management, and leadership at the international level. The certificates of recognition are offered by all international communities. This is thorough the qualification process and acknowledged by people around the world,’’ The president of the Republic, José Ramos Horta said in a statement issued on Saturday.
Horta added that these titles are tightening the relationship between the university and the Cambodian institution and also Timor-Leste.

The President of the Republic of Timor-Leste José Ramos Horta focused on the Timor-Leste experience in the reconciliation process in Timor-Leste with Indonesia.
So Far, President José Ramos-Horta was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize with fellow countryman Bishop Carlos Filipe Ximenes Belo for ‘’ sustained efforts to find a diplomatic solution to the conflict of East Timor based on the people’s right to self-determination.’
The awarded event was attended by the President of the Republic, Jose Ramos Horta, Cambodian Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, Hangchuon Naron, Members of Government, and Universities Representatives also including the delegation from Timor-Leste.
