DILI, 13 january 2022 (TATOLI) – Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) supported the Haburas Moris Cooperative group to promote the saving and loan program through a capacity building.
The coordination of the HBM cooperative group, Ursula Alves Freitas said the saving and loan program is initiated by ADRA NGO capacity building provided by Asosiasaun Unidade ba Feto (AUFD).
“After we are trained with some knowledge on saving and loan particularly on finance management and providing loan reports for running some business activities, 25 cooperative members initiated a cooperative group with an amount of $5.00 with the total amount we have in this group, the amount can be loaned to group members for running their bussing,’’ The coordinator of HBM cooperative group, Ursula Alves Freitas told TATOLI, in Comoro, friday.
According to Freitas, she is one of the lucky participants of the saving and load program.
“This program has benefited me a lot, after participating in the program given by ARDA, together with other 24 participants established a cooperative group in june 2022 the member of the group composed of farmers, businessmen, and others. The establishment of this cooperative group helps me build my three mini-culinary shops in Comoro that give me $1.000 income every month,” she said.
According to Freitas, their cooperative only provide this amount to group members to do their business and the payback fee is 10%.
“Until today our cooperative group has over 706 USD in their cooperative account,” She concluded
