DILI, 19 january 2023 ( TATOLI)– Former Prime Minister and the President of CNRT Party Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, expressed his gratitude to the people of Japan and the State of Japan who continue to provide support to Timor – Leste in various sectors.
Speaking to reporters Xanana considers that Japan is one of the great donors that provided strong support for the development of infrastructure, agriculture, clean water, human resource support, and others.
“I and Ambassador Japan had a meeting to discuss important areas where it is necessary to discuss the assistance which had provided by Japan and continue to support Timor – Leste in various sectors in future,” Xanana said after receiving the Ambassador of Japan to Timor – Leste, Kimura Tetsuya at the CNRT ‘s office Bairru dos Griloos Dili.
Xanana added that Kimura Tetsuya was a hard worker and had worked in Timor – Leste before. And now Testuya serving as the new Japanese Ambassador, thus he was well acquainted with the political situation and the economic life of the people so that it would be easy for the Japanese Ambassador Tetsuya to carry out his diplomatic mission efficiently in Timor – Leste.
At the same place, the Japanese Ambassador Kimura Tetsuya appreciated Xanana Gusmao who was willing to accept himself in introducing his new diplomatic mission as the Japanese Ambassador in conducting the bilateral cooperation relations in Timor – Leste.
Previously the Japanese Ambassador Kimura Tetsuya had submitted a Credential letter to the President of the Republic, Jose Ramos Horta on December 5, 2022, to carry out his diplomatic duties in Timor – Leste for the next four years.
