DILI, 29 january 2023 (TATOLI)- Timor – Leste through TradeInvest and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation ( MoFAC) prepare to meet the ASEAN Economic Comunity in February.
The meeting will be held following the briefing session on the accession process of Timor-Leste to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations ( ASEAN) which was held on january 27 2023.
During the briefing session on the ASEAN accession, Timor-Leste Executive Director of TradeInvest and Indicative Senior Economic Officials (SEOM), Arcanjo da Silva Leite leading Timor-Leste in the Asean Economic Pillars provided the latest updated information regarding Timor-Leste progress in the meeting.
“The two agencies organized and provided the latest information on the latest progress of Timor-Leste’s accession to ASEAN, particularly in the economic pillar and plans to update the capacity support report (CSR) to the relevant autonomous ministries and Agencies,” stated Arcanjo da Silva on the official TradeInvest website which accessed by TATOLI.
In addition, dissemination of information about the Capacity Building Program session which will be provided and delivered by the ASEAN Secretariat to continue to provide support for the technical preparation of Timor-Leste to officially join the agreements in the ASEAN Economic Community which will take place from 7 – 9 February 2023.
The institutions that attended the meeting included MCAE, MNEC, MTCI, MAP, MEESC, MdF, MdJ, MTC, MdS, SEFOPE, GPM, GPR, TradeInvest, Bapeanan Authority, ANAAA, INDMO, TTIL, ANPM, SERVE, APORTIL, Timor-Leste TIC, Banco Central, ANLA, ANC, AACTL, IQTL, and AIFAESA.
