DILI, 23 february 2023 (TATOLI)- The National Director of Training and Capacity Building of the National Institution of Public Administration (INAP), José de Araujo Chang, said the Timor-Leste Government through INAP currently working together with PT Inovasi Indonesia in Jakarta for providing the training to the civil servants of Timor – Leste.
“This collaboration has been established since 2020 but at that time we did not send Timorese civil servants to attend the capacity training at the PT Inovasi Indonesia because the world including Timor-Leste is facing the Covid-19 pandemic. We have only sent 10 staff from the National Parliament and 12 staff from the Ministry of State Administration (MSA) to attend the capacity training at the beginning of January 2022 and at the moment we plan to send another Timorese civil servant to attend the capacity training, to support the effective public servant,” said José de Araujo Chang, when interviewed by TATOLI at his office INAP Comoro, Dili on thursday.
He added that capacity training is important because, with training, the public servants will have the ability and skills to work more efficiently in serving the public quickly and professionally. Besides, civil servants will also be able to compete in online applications where had implemented by all countries in the world, including Timor-Leste.
“Through the capacity training, civil servants will be able to adapt modern technology which is currently being implemented by all countries to accelerate the online working to simplify the system of bureaucracy in the process of providing the serving to the public,” he said.
