IFC facilitates market intelligence training for TradeInvest Timor-Leste

 DILI, 08 march 2023 (TATOLI)- The International Finance Corporation (IFC) through the Investment Promotion Directorate (DPI) facilitates Market Intelligence Training that focuses mainly on investment promotion for the I.P Investment and Export Promotion Agency (TradeInvest Timor-Leste).

The statement seen by Tatoli, stated that the training was offered by IFC expert, Juan Anzola, and focuses on subjects including Market Intelligence Context, External Sector: ITC Tools (Investment Map), Macroeconomics, Competitiveness and Business Climate, Operational Costs, Security and Stability Sector.

This training aims to strengthen the capacity of the technical staff of the Directorate of Investment Promotion to analyze relevant investment databases and assist technicians in studying the movement of Foreign Investment by analyzing country investment opportunities:” This is intending to increase the investor’s knowledge of the sector they wish to invest in,”

In addition to sharing the benefits of Market Intelligence which generates actual information about business opportunities and advantages and helps investors to build a better business approach related to state priorities.

“This is to further enhance DPI’s technical skills and also to use this information as a reference in implementing public services,” he said.

The trainees were the Industrial Manager, Silveiro Freitas; Agriculture and Fisheries Manager; Miguel Nunes; Professional Tourism Technician, Epifanio Xavier Fernandes, and DPI Technical support, Gabriela Yuliana Domingos.
