DILI, 31 march 2023 ( TATOLI)– The Ambassador of Malaysia to Timor – Leste, Amarjit Sarjit Singh, today meets the President of the Chamber of Commerce Industry of Timor – Leste, Jorge Serano, and discusses future cooperation.

Speaking to journalists, Ambassador Singh said, the private sector is very important to become the partner of the government to develop Timor- Leste.

” As the new Ambassador of Malaysia to Timor – Leste, I wish to know, what is already done by the CCI- TL and also listen to what is needed to be done by the CCI- TL to become the partner of the government to construct Timor – Leste for a better future,” the Ambassador of Malaysia Singh, told reporters at the office of CCI- TL, Acait, Dili.

In turn, Ambassador Singh also said will invite the Chamber of Commerce Industry of Malaysia to visit Timor – Leste, to conduct a working partnership with CCI- TL to invest in the productive areas. 

At the same place, the President of CCI- TL, Jorge Serano, appreciates the visit from the Ambassador, saying the visit is a courtesy visit because Ambassador wishes to question the situation and condition of CCI- TL.

” I informed the Ambassador about the working of CCI – TL which had done by CCI- TL and continue to work together with the Private Sector to build the country in the future,” he said.

The President of CCI- TL, Jorge Serano, explained, the Ambassador of Malaysia, Singh will inform to Government of Malaysia and the Chamber of Commerce Industry of Malaysia to visit Timor – Leste to conduct the partner working with CCI- TL by investing in the productive area such as; Agriculture, Mining, oil and gas, and the other relevant investment to develop Timor – Leste in future.

“Look forward to realizing this dream in the short term to advance Timor- Leste, same as the other developed countries in the world,”
