DILI, 02 june 2023 ( TATOLI)– Market Development Facility ( MDF) and Hotel Owner Timor Lorosa’e ( HOTL)today signed a Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU) to promote Timor – Leste’s tourism to the international.
The Executive Director of MDF, Drew Johnson said the signing ceremony of the MoU between MDF and HOTL is aiming to promote the destination of tourism through the marketing campaign.
“We will work together for 18 months to conduct the main activities such as promoting the Association members through the media social platform including managing the content of images and videos which can be used as the material to promote Timor Leste ‘s destination tourism to the international, thus can diversify the economy of Timor – Leste in the future,” the Executive Director of MDF Drew Jhonson, told reporters at the MDF’s office, Surikmas, Dili on friday.
He added that the agreement will also focus on the strategy concept of how to promote Timor – Leste’s beautiful marine, landscape, and the other beautiful tourist destination, attend the exhibition in the other country to develop tourism and promote the tourism sector in Timor – Leste including promote the Timor – Leste’s local product to be launched in the international market.
At the same place, the Chief Executive officer ( CEO) of HOTL, Samitha Aluwihare, said:” This MoU will allow us to work together with the partners to increase the sustainability of the economy to the members of the Association through tourism marketing, to promote access connectivity of tourist to visit Timor – Leste and can share the analysis data and empower the association members through the capacity building training in the area of hospitality in Timor – Leste.
” We believe that MDF and HOTL will work together effectively to grow the tourism sector and promote destination marketing and promoting Timor – Leste ‘s beautiful ocean including creating the conectivity between Australia, Indonesia, and the other ASEAN members to promote the coffee of Timor – Leste and the other local product to the international aiming to attract international tourist to visit Timor – Leste in diversifying the growth of the economy of the country in the future,” he concluded
