DILI, 11 march 2024 (TATOLI) – Applications to work in South Korea are now open. The application form can be accessed at the National Directorate for Employment Abroad (DNEE) of the Secretary of State for Vocational Training and Employment (SEFOPE).
DNEE Director, João Correia Pereira, those interested should fill in the application form and submit it to the DNEE team at the Dili Municipal Gymnasium or submit it to any of the 40 Korean language training centers in the country.
“Applicants must also submit two photographs [3×4), with a white background], a photocopy of their identification document which can be a passport, identity card, or electoral card, and pay a registration fee of US$28,” said Pereira.
He said that in mid-May, candidates will be subjected to a written Korean language test, which is why he advises applicants to prepare.
According to SEFOPE data, Timor-Leste has sent more than five thousand workers since the agreement with South Korea began in 2009.
