DILI, 18 march 2024 (TATOLI) – The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) in collaboration with importing companies organized a three-day food fair at the Dili Port.
According to the Deputy Minister, Augusto Júnior Trindade, the food products are sold at promotional prices.
“The population will be able to buy, for example, five liters of oil for less than US$5 and seven packs of instant noodles for just US1.
When asked about the price of rice, Lídia Salsinha, an employee of Creative Furak, said that a 15-kilogram sack of Mangkok Merah rice sells for US$13.50 in the store, but at the fair, it costs US$13.25.
“The discount is also 25 cents if the customer chooses to buy a 20-kilogram sack of Beruang Merah rice,” she said.
In addition to Creative Furak, companies such as Dili Mart, Leader, Lisun, Perissos, and others also sold their products at the fair.
