DILI, 13 june 2024 (TATOLI) – The government has made available the former building of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), in Campo Alor, Dili, for the establishment of the Angolan Embassy in the country, revealed the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Bendito Freitas.

“After coordinating with the Secretary of State for Land and Property, we made the CPLP’s former building available to the Angolan Embassy in the country. However, before it can be used, the facilities require rehabilitation,” Minister Freitas said in Dili.

He added that the Ministry of Justice and the Secretary of State for Land and Property are still in negotiations to make other spaces available for the establishment of the embassies of Singapore, UK, and India in Dili.

Last month, the Angolan Ambassador to Timor-Leste, José Andrade de Lemos, handed over his letters of credence to the President of the Republic, José Ramos Horta.
