DILI, 08 january 2024 (TATOLI) – National Communications Authority of Timor-Leste (ANC-Portuguese acronym) collected more than US$3 million in revenue during the 2024 fiscal year.
The Director of ANC, Flávio Cardoso Neves, said that the US$3.1 million is higher than what was previously targeted, which was US$2.4 million.
“We hope to increase more revenues next year,” Neves told TATOLI at the Office of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, in Dili, on wednesday.
He explained that ANC generates its revenue mainly from taxes from telecommunications companies in Timor-Leste, including Timor Telecom, Telemor, and Telkomcel.
In addition, ANC also generated its income from other Internet Service Providers, namely Gardamor, Metrolink, Raph Vision Electronic, SacomTel, Marapido Net, Apurva, Megtelco, and Kacific Broadband Satellite.
In 2023, the National Communications Authority collected just under US$2.6 million in revenue.
