DILI, 21 February 2025 (TATOLI) – TradeInvest Timor-Leste, represented by Director of External Relations and Marketing (DREM), Roberto Lai, and Director of Investment Promotion Directorate (DPI), Ezaquiel Babo, received a courtesy visit from the Austrian Ambassador to Indonesia and Timor-Leste Thomas Loidt.
Ambassador Loidt was accompanied by the Austrian Commercial Counsellor for Indonesia and Timor-Leste, Sigmund Nemeti, and the Austrian Honorary Counsellor for Timor-Leste, Stefan.
Through this courtesy meeting, there was a contact exchange and an opportunity for economic and trade cooperation between Austria and Timor-Leste related to investment promotion and export services in the two (2) countries with the intention to increase the amount of investment and trade.
TradeInvest also shared general information regarding Private Investment Law No.15/2017, including the Private Investment Regulations and Procedures on Government Decree No.2/2018, which provide guarantees and facilitate their investment in Timor-Leste.
