DILI, 19 March 2025 (TATOLI) – The Australia Timor-Leste Partnership for Human Development (PhD) handed over 50 oxygen cylinders to the National Institute of Pharmacy and Medical Products (INFPM).
The donated cylinders will help ensure the availability of oxygen to hospital patients suffering from severe respiratory illness.
INFPM’s Procurement Director Sérgio da Costa said that the oxygen cylinders were symbolically handed over by the PHD Secretary, Deidre Ballinger, to the INFPM’s Executive Director, Paulina Mendonça Maher.
Costa said that the oxygen equipment would be distributed to health centers and hospitals across the country based on their needs.
“The distribution will be carried out according to requests submitted by health centers and hospitals,” Costa concluded.
