DILI, 28 April 2025 (TATOLI) – The Embassy of Timor-Leste in Jakarta convene a special ceremony to award the “Medal of the Order of Timor-Leste” to the Chief of the Indonesian National Police, Listyo Sigit Prabowo and four other senior police officials, including Commissioner General of Police, Chryshanda Dwilaksma, Inspector General of Police, Rudi Darmoko, Inspector General of Police, Krishna Murti, and Brigadier General of Police, Bambang Sentot Widodo with the “Medal of Merit and Certificate”.
The event was held in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic, No. 29/2025.
During the ceremony, the “Medal of the Order of Timor-Leste and the Medal of Merit and Certificate” were officially presented by the General Commissioner of the PNTL, Henrique da Costa, and the Ambassador of Timor-Leste to Indonesia, Roberto Soares.
In his brief conversation with the Chief of Indonesia National Police, Ambassador Soares said that the prestigious award granted by President José Ramos Horta, is a recognition and acknowledgement of the extraordinary contribution made to Timor-Leste and is also a form of gratitude from Timor-Leste for the support and cooperation given by the Indonesian Police to Timor-Leste, especially in ensuring bilateral cooperation in the field of capacity building and security cooperation for peace.
The Ambassador also appreciated the leadership of Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Commissioner General Henrique da Costa for their tireless dedication to further strengthen good relations, mutual understanding and friendly cooperation in order to maintain partnerships between state institutions.
The event was also preceded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Technical Arrangements and Cooperation in Capacity Development between the National Police of Timor-Leste and the National Police of Indonesia by Commissioner General Henerique da Costa and Commissioner General Chryshanda Dwilaksma, and witnessed by Ambassador Roberto Soares and Chief of Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
The event was attended by senior officials of the Indonesian Police, the Director of Law and Treaties, Politics and Security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Indra Rosandry, Timorese diplomats, attachés and staff of the Embassy of Timor-Leste in a very friendly atmosphere.
