DILI, 28 October 2025 (TATOLI) – A training program for school leaders on digital technology is being held at the Ian Martin Hall in Balide, Dili, until October 30, aimed at promoting creative and interactive digital learning.
The initiative is organized by the Ministry of Education, in partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
According to the Secretary of State for General Secondary and Technical-Vocational Education, Domingos Lemos, a total of 48 school principals and deputy leaders from various secondary schools are participating in the training.
He said the participants will later share what they have learned about digital skills with teachers in their respective schools.
“The goal of this training in innovative technology focuses on schools because, many times, our educational process depends on textbooks. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce innovation so that, through this training, participants can expand their knowledge and learn to use computers more effectively, especially in the fields of technology and information,” Lemos said.
The President of the National Institute for Teacher and Education Professional Training (INFORDEPE), Domingos Martins, also emphasized the importance of teachers acquiring digitalization skills to enhance teaching quality.
