DILI, 28 january 2026 (TATOLI) – Timor-Leste’s State News Agency, TATOLI, has launched its international news service, TATOLI Global, as part of efforts to strengthen the country’s image on the global stage.
The new program was officially launched on wednesday, january 28, at TATOLI’s office in Dili by the Secretary of State for Social Communication, Expedito Dias Ximenes, together with Noémio Mateus Soares Falcão, President of TATOLI’s Board of Directors.
TATOLI Global is designed to inform and engage international audiences, offering insights into Timor-Leste’s culture and identity, diplomatic initiatives, international partnerships, and global activities.
The service targets viewers worldwide, including ASEAN members, CPLP countries, and other international partners.
Speaking at the launch, State Secretary Ximenes described the program as a key platform for presenting Timor-Leste’s positive image abroad.
He said it would promote the country’s foreign policy, government programs, political and social development, economic growth, and security initiatives to a global audience.
Noémio Falcão highlighted that through interviews, documentaries, talk shows, analysis, and news reports, the program aims to showcase developments shaping Timor-Leste’s global partnerships.
He added that the service would broadcast in English, Portuguese, and Indonesian, helping raise Timor-Leste’s voice, identity, and vision across borders.
“I believe this new program will be a bridge between Timor-Leste and the world,” Falcão said.
