DILI, 05 february 2026 (TATOLI) – Stamford Medical has informed patients, partners, and the wider community that, after more than a decade of service, its shareholders have decided to proceed with the planned and orderly closure of its operations in Timor-Leste.
The clinic emphasized that the closure will not take place immediately.
“To ensure a smooth and responsible transition, Stamford Medical will continue operating during a ninety (90) day transition period, from 3 February 2026 through 4 May 2026,” the notice said.
During this period, the clinic will focus on “supporting continuity of care, assisting with handovers where needed, and minimising disruption for our patients and partners.” The statement added that the organisation remains “fully committed to carrying this out with the same professionalism, integrity, and care that has guided us throughout.”
The decision was made after careful consideration. Stamford Medical acknowledged that it marks the close of an important chapter, while expressing sincere gratitude to its patients, partners, colleagues, and community.
“We are sincerely grateful for the trust, partnership, and support you have shown Stamford Medical over the years,” the notice added. “It has been a privilege to walk alongside you in care and service.”
