President Ramos-Horta to address Horasis Visionary Circle 2026 in Singapore
DÍLI, 04 September 2026 (TATOLI) – The President of the Republic and Nobel Peace Laureate, José Ramos-Horta, will address the Horasis Visionary Circle 2026 in Singapore from 4 to 6 September 2026.
The Horasis Visionary Circle 2026 co-hosted by Vickers Venture Partners, brings together a select group of globally influential entrepreneurs and business leaders for an intensive exchange on leadership, responsibility, and long-term vision in an increasingly unpredictable world.
Under the theme Leading Through Uncertainty, discussions will explore how geopolitical tension, economic volatility, and technological acceleration are reshaping leadership across business, government, and society. Participants will share perspectives on how leaders sustain credibility, make decisions without clear precedents, and foster cooperation when traditional certainties are weakening.
President Ramos-Horta is scheduled to engage in a special conversation on 4 September, chaired by Baron Woolley of Woodford, Member of the House of Lords, United Kingdom.
The President will reflect on leadership in uncertain times and Timor-Leste’s economic future, addressing how the country can position itself as an emerging gateway between Southeast Asia and the Pacific, what investment opportunities exist in energy, tourism, and sustainable development, and how global partnerships can support long-term prosperity.
Over the three-day gathering, key discussion topics will include leading through uncertainty, taking stock of the global landscape, Singapore’s evolving global role, the global economic outlook amid radical uncertainty, wealth and responsibility, legacy-building through philanthropy and impact investing, governance of AI and leadership beyond human scale, funding a better world through deep-tech innovation, Timor-Leste’s diversification agenda, leading the mind in a digital age, entrepreneurship at the edge of disruption, leadership under pressure, and concluding reflections on what leadership truly requires in an age of uncertainty.
