DILI, 02 january 2021 (TATOLI)– The Coordinator of Covid-19, Nilton Silva said his team has detected two more Timorese positive of Corona Virus bringing the nationwide totally to 15 cases.
The patients are 24 and 34 years old were quarantine at Vila Verde hotel.
The 24 years old patient travelled on 24 of December 2020 from Portugal to Madrid and travelled to Dohar on december 21, 2020 with Qatar Air lines.
He continued his trip from Dohar to Malaysia and stay one night at Sama-Sama hotel The patient arrived in Dili from Malaysia on December 22 with Air Asia flight.
“While the 34 years old patient traveling from London UK on december 20 with Qatar Airlines and continue his trip from Malaysia to Dili on december 21,” he said.
AirAsia arrived at Dili Airport on December 22 bringing with 100 passengers.
He said among the passengers 14 were placed at Villa Verde hotel quarantine site and others 78 passengers were transferred to Regal apartment, Time Square Hotel, Fortune hotel and Carla Mention quarantine sites.
According to Mr Silva the patient also has the close contact with another Timorese who was detected in Malaysia as positive to covid-19 and the person was not able travel to Dili.
So far 16.871 people have performed the tests, 482 are waited for their results, 35 have recovered and 15 are remaining in Isolation Center.
