DILI, 8 march, 2021 (TATOLI) – The Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Fidélis Manuel Leite Magalhães, announced on Monday, the Government approval on the sanitary fence and mandatory quarantined to be imposed for one week within Dili.
“The Council of Ministers has already decided on the imposition of a sanitary fence and mandatory confinement in the Municipality of Dili, starting at 00:00 pm on 9 march to 23:59 pm of march 15, “The President for the Council of Minister, Fidélis Magalhães, recent statement after the end of the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers, at the Ministry of Finance, in Aitarak-Laran.
He added that, the citizens are prohibited from traveling to other municipalities, except for public health reason, security and humanitarian reasons which are considered necessary for the common interest and authorized by the Minister of the Interior.
“People who intend to leave their places and go to other municipalities must have an authorization from the Ministry of the Interior and the Integrated Crisis Management Center,” he said.
Magalhães affirmed that the isolation zone restriction is imposed to all the residents in Dili, except when neccesary to leave, namely to seek medical assistance, to participate in police or judicial process, purchase of goods and essential services or to fulfill professional obligations that have not been waived by your employer.
“The Council of Ministers has already decided to apply mandatory confinement with the aim of not allowing citizens to participate in all social, cultural, sporting and religious events that involve gatherings of people are prohibited.” he added.
