Fifteen babies born in Vera Cruz isolation are negative to covid-19

DILI, 17 may 2021 (TATOLI) – The COVID-19 Crisis Authority reports 15 babies have been born in Vera Cruz Isolation Center since March this year.

The Coordinator of the Task Force for the Prevention of the Covid-19 Outbreak of the Integrated Crisis Management Center (CIGC), Rui de Araujo, said among pregnant women with infections, nine have given birth through normal births, three by cesarean section, and three births have been assisted with a suction cup.

“There was also an abortion and two stillbirths, ”Araújo said in a statement.

The Coordinator also said that all the babies born in Vera Cruz isolation are in the good condition and none tested positive for covid-19.

It is recalled that the country currently has 2,173 active infections, 4,589 confirmed cases, and ten deaths since the virus appeared.
