DILI, 16 june 2021 (TATOLI)- Around 100 Filipinos in Timor-Leste will be repatriated by the Philippines government with charter flights from the Philippines on 30 of june, said Vice Council & Third Secretary Atty. Laser Blitz B. Sumagasey
“Many Filipinos in Timor-Leste want to return to the Philippines but there are no flights due to Covid-19 and the current government of Timor-Leste does not permitted commercial flight landings in Timor-Leste so it is very difficult for Filipinos in Timor-Leste to return to the Philippines because of that the Philippine government will charter a flight from the Philippines on June 30 to repatriate around 100 Filipinos to the Philippines,” said Sumagaysay to Journalist of TATOLI news Agency at the Philippine Embassy, Farol on wednesday.
He added that the flight from the Philippines will also carry 30 students who have been studying in the Philippines and want to return to Timor-Leste and the Philippine Ambassador to Timor-Leste will also join this flight to Timor-Leste on the 30 of june because previously he had holiday in the Philippines.
