DILI, 30 september 2021 (TATOLI)-The Ministry of Parliamentary and Social Communications (MAPKOMS) invites all media at the national level to participate and assist the government in providing information on the vaccination campaign against COVID-19.
MAPKOMS Staff Officer, Ivana Belo said MAPKOMS is coordinating with the Vaccine Secretariat of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and Inclusion (MSSI) to conduct a meeting to invite all national media during the ten-day of the vaccination campaign.
“The ten-day vaccination campaign will start on September 30 to October 23, we need support from the media because media have an important role to support the government on disseminating information regarding vaccination against COVID-19,” MAPKOMS staff officer, Ivana told reporters at the Government Palace, this Wednesday.
She added that this support is a mechanism to motivate people on vaccination and to help the government in dealing with COVID-19.
“So far, members of the government have carried out socialization in the target areas; however the is still a minimum of participants, therefore during the meeting we ask the media to submit a list of journalists to assist the members of the government in conducting socialization,” She said.
The national media participate in the meeting are ANTIL-TATOLI State News Agency, RTTL.EP, Lafaek News, STL, Naunil, Neon Metin, Bussiness Timor, Timor Post, and others.
It was explained that starting from the 30th tomorrow, all ministries and secretariats will be placed in every municipality and post-administrative to disseminate vaccination against COVID-19.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, the number of people who have participated in the first stage of vaccination has reached 58% and 35% for the second stage.
